Complimentary foundations of tactical mindfulness training
Participants will discover how mindfulness shapes neurobiology, mindset and stress recovery through a four part immersive learning experience. This course delves into the application of these techniques in enhancing performance, particularly focusing on mindful marksmanship and weapons qualification by optimizing stress regulation within a professional and personal context. Participants will learn to strengthen the 'human weapon system', how it translates to weapons training, and establish coherence applying these insights to enhance both tactical recovery and regulation skills.

milmindbody began in 2019 as a holistic based program to address resilience and risk factors in military communities. Today milmindbody has expanded into Mindful Tactical by MelMarie offering a diverse blend of resources for military community, law enforcement and public service domains. 

A journey that began as a partnership between MelMarie Yoga and the USO, milmindbody became the first yoga studio to open on a military base at Fort Sam Houston. The milmindbody yoga studio has evolved into a full building on Fort Sam Houston managed through the DOD called The Vogel Meditation Center. Though we no longer run the studio, we encourage all to utilize the resources at the Meditation Center as they offer yoga classes, resources, and mindfulness to personnel and family.

By 2023, our mission expanded into serving law enforcement and first responders training in Tactical Recovery and Mindfulness along with other stress reduction resources. 

Our programs equip the community through learning how to participate in self-care, mindfulness, and stress management modalities to improve equanimity, human performance, self regulation and mental clarity.

We specialize and focus on custom program development and trainings to serve unique communities.

Yoga Foundations Course
In 2018, a partnership between the USO and MelMarie Yoga began to serve, educate and support our military families and community.
